The Aspen Science Center is excited to announce the launch of the Roaring Fork Valley Science Camp Scholarship Fund.
Each summer, the ASC provides hands-on science camps for children ages 3-13. The ASC provides camps all over the Roaring Fork Valley, from Glenwood Springs to Aspen to help decrease the geographic barrier to attending summer camp.
To further ensure that campers from diverse backgrounds can attend our STEM summer camps, the ASC has created the Roaring Fork Valley Science Camp Scholarship fund to help children and families overcome the financial barrier to attending summer camp.
The Roaring Fork Valley Science Camp Scholarship Fund helps pay a portion of a child’s STEM camp experience. To receive support, families demonstrate need through a very simple application process. Applications are then reviewed by the ASC. In general, all applications are considered for families that demonstrate need. All applications are confidential and scholarships are awarded based on demonstrated need and funding availability. There is limited funding.
To date, the ASC has provided $1,300 in scholarships and is excited to grow this number with the official launch of the Roaring Fork Valley Science Camp Scholarship Fund.

The Roaring Fork Valley Science Camp Scholarship Fund pays for all of, or a portion of, a child’s STEM camp experience. To receive support, families demonstrate need through a very simple application process available in both English and Spanish. Applications are then reviewed by the ASC selection committee. In general, all applications are considered for families that demonstrate need and have an annual household income of less than $100,000 a year. All applications are confidential and scholarships are awarded based on demonstrated need and funding availability.
