Aspen Science Center


The Aspen Science Center (ASC) is seeking energetic educators to join our team in developing and delivering fun, hands-on science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education programs and events for youth, families, and adults. Based in Carbondale, ASC serves communities from Aspen to Parachute. Minimum BA/BS degree in science, education, or related field. Especially interested in Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates with experience in Early Childhood/PreK and/or K-5 classroom education. Residency around the Colorado River Valley (Carbondale to Parachute) is a plus.  Part-time to full-time opportunities.  Starting salary $25-$28/hour, based on experience.

2024 Summer Intern Program

The Aspen Science Center is excited to announce the 11th year of our (paid) Summer Intern Educator program! High school and college students ready to explore STEM careers, gain valuable experience in STEM education, and immerse themselves in the world of nonprofit management are encouraged to apply. Educator Interns play an integral role in the Aspen Science Center’s Summer of Science through teaching STEM summer camps, sharing science at our local libraries, and taking the lead in engaging the community at weekly markets.
